Those biceps speak for themselves💪

Youngju had already been doing some stretching, yoga, and home body workouts, but had never really worked with machines or free-weights. Since she first started training with Tess in September, Youngju has learned a bunch of cool free-weight exercises and is building lean muscle to show for it!

Working out doesn't always have to be about getting buff or lean! It can help you do amazing things out in the real world. Liz and Ryan have been training with Brett for about 6 months now, and have used their progress in the gym to fuel their 65 mile hike through the Scottish Highlands! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

From the circuit style training to help with endurance, to the lower body exercises to help with the climb, and the mental and physical focus to help push through when things got tough - training has absolutely helped them make the most of their awesome trip! Liz and Ryan - we're honored to have you as clients!

Akshay is a Master's Student in Electrical Engineering at UCSD. He came to us to strengthen his lower body and improve agility - and his sports-specific training with Mark has done just that! From Bulgarian Split Squats with 70lb dumbbells - to sprint training, Akshay is CRUSHING his goals!

Colleen is getting fit while having fun! We love the energy you bring and are excited to see you continue to progress towards your goals, Colleen!

Nancy is able to squat under the barbell! When she started training with Chelsey, Nancy suffered from sciatica pain and had difficulty doing squats. Now she's crushing the squats, is no longer in pain, AND has gained lean muscle during the process! You are such an inspiration Nancy! It took a lot of effort to get here, but it's so exciting to see what you've accomplished! With your attitude, surely there's more to come☺️

Cindy initially started training to get in shape for her new grandson. She now has the endurance to babysit her grandson for the whole weekend! Cindy always has a go get it attitude! You can see here that she’s doing Plyo Ball V-Ups - great for core strengthening. Building up her core will allow her to be able to play more with her grandson and make picking him up easier! 👶🚼

Before Diana started training with Tess, she was unsure about what to do in the gym and how to use the machines. Now not only is Diana crushing her training, she also ALWAYS has a great time! Diana comes in ready to put in the work and puts a smile on all of our faces😊 We love training you Diana! Keep up the amazing work!

Neevan was looking for a personal trainer to help with his marathon performance, and to get lighter. Since training with Brett, he's significantly improved his running game! Neevan has now increased glute activation, hip mobility, core strength, OH and shaved an hour and a half off his marathon time! Neevan is definitely a hard worker and we're proud for him and his results!

Nitya gets into the gym around her busy schedule as a Master's Student in Electrical Engineering! When she first started she didn’t know muscle names. Now she knows most muscles, how to properly contract, and the exercises for each muscle. She loves that we keep her workouts fresh & fun! She also knows her way around the gym, and has fun doing her “homework” workouts on her own. Nitya is getting AWESOME results so far, with more to come!

Holden has made huge strength gains. He can now bench press 105 lbs for 3 perfect reps!💪 When we started, he had a hard time controlling the bar with no added weight (45lbs.) Awesome results, Holden! This guy is on fire🔥 check back in a few months because he’s only going to keep getting better✅

Kim is on a MISSION! She’s in the gym with her trainer Jana 2 times a week getting fit in the morning sunlight glow🌄 AND she comes in 2 times a week on her own. That’s how it’s done! Consistency + motivation and a great trainer like Jana leads to awesome results👏👏👏

Vaishakh is a PhD student at UC San Diego, and came to us after losing 20lbs on his own. He was looking to put on some muscle, and we helped him do just that! When you take determination like Vaishakh's, and combine it with the expert guidance and direction of a professional, amazing results are possible!🏆👏

Hanbo is super consistent in the gym, even with his busy schedule as a PHD student. He's training at least 3 times a week, while balancing his graduate program involving voice recognition technology. Hanbo even spends his weeknights teaching undergraduate courses at UCSD! This dedication to his mental and physical health has led to his amazing RESULTS!

Aru is a busy working professional, and both he and his wife are training with us. They're off to an amazing start towards their goals!

Stanley is a university professor and researcher, and has been training with us for a little over a year now. He is often out of town (or out of the country even) giving lectures, so his results are that much more impressive! His main goal was to lose weight, but Stanley has also gained muscle and strength in the process.

Robert is a full-time graduate student at UCSD!

Danyel is a fulltime Anthropologist at Ancestry.com and is newly married. She had no idea she would love coming to the gym! Training with KD has changed her life; she never expected to fully recover from her dislocation, but is now stronger and fitter post injury! Her strength often surprises her and everyday life has become easier: tasks around the house, carrying groceries, lifting boxes, running with her two dogs, and more!

Ada achieved these awesome results while working full-time and caring for her two young children under 5 years old!

Allie doesn’t get tired anymore when squatting next to her students’ desks & has more energy to devote to them!

Allie is a full time Elementary Special Needs Teacher who has been active her entire life. Since training with Mark, she has lifted more weights that ever before, and is now in better shape than she was for her wedding! Training has empowered her and she applies mental strategies learned from training to deal with everyday life stress. She is set onto a positive cycle of seeing progress and feels a true difference in her body. One of her favorite aspects of training is that Mark is very attentive and incorporates exercises she enjoys! She has hit a massive Squat PR of 205x2 and is shooting for a 250 squat in the future!

Nikita is completing her Masters in Computer Engineering at UCSD and is a movie fanatic. She has torn both ACLs & has a pinched nerve. Her main goal was to find a way to exercise without pain, which is now possible thanks to KD! Before training, doing normal tasks (carrying her own groceries) was impossible to do without aggravating her pinched nerve. Nikita has now gained the FREEDOM to do everyday tasks EASILY and most importantly PAIN FREE!

When Leo went back overseas to visit his family, EVERYONE noticed how different he looked!

Before training with Brett, Leo could hardly bend over – and deadlifts would always hurt his back. Now Leo is back pain free and lifting stronger than ever! His endurance is awesome and can play basketball much longer.

Allison is a professional and mother, and prior to starting training was the heaviest she had ever been because life had gotten in the way. Her decision to start training was on an impulse, but has turned out to be THE BEST MONEY SHE HAS EVER SPENT! Now that she is confident in herself, she can enjoy life more with her 8 year old daughter. In addition to being in better physical shape, she has also improved her emotional health and feels way better in all aspects of life!

Chris works full time at an overnight express delivery company and prior to training had NEVER WORKED OUT BEFORE. He had a pivotal moment where he realized he was getting really unhealthy when he nearly grew out of his clothing. He refused to go up a size and he knew that he needed to make a change for himself & his health! Chris didn’t know what to do to start his fitness journey, that’s when he found Iron Orr Fitness. Since training with Paul, not only has achieved phenomenal results, but he has also found a great sense of community and is part of a FAMILY here.
